My Hero Academia Season-1

My Hero Academia Season-1: Of Grit and Determination   This is my first review of Japanese anime on this blog. I'll be dealing with the first season of Boku No Hero Academia or My Hero Academia. Quick on the heels of superhero-themed anime such as One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100, this series depicts a world were superhero powers are abundant, a world where more than 80%of the population have some kind of superpower or the other. An incredible world isn't it? Well, this tale is about one among the other 20%. Izuku Midoriya, our protagonist grows up adoring All Might, the Symbol of Peace . But unluckily for him, he doesn't have any Quirk or superpower. Quirkless in a world where Quirks are the norm, he was bullied relentlessly by the intemperate Katsuki Bakugo. But when he intervenes in an incident involving a villain, he's offered a chance at getting into the famous hero-prep school called UA. Hot Takes: Petta & Mikhael

Hot Takes   Hot takes are reviews of movies released recently. These are movies that do not merit a thematic analysis and are not the usual reflections that I put out on here. Petta   Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj of the Pizza fame, Petta follows in the tradition of Rajnepics starting with Kabaali. The action blockbuster (with a collection of 125.8 cr as of this writing) depicts the life of Kaali (Rajnikanth), a hostel warden dealing with a rather unruly crowd in a predominantly Tamil-speaking college in what appears to be Darjeeling. Being the righteous man he is , he puts an end to endemic ragging of freshers by Michael ( Bobby Shima), the no-good son of a non-good contractor, while intriguing on the behalf of the affable Anwar (Sananth Reddy) in his romace with the lovely Anu (Megha Prakash). A few fights and a romance later , a blast from the past hits Kaali ,forever changing the winds of the story-line. Rajnikanth does not fail to impress in his role
